Dentovox has four plans: Overflow $299 a month (400 minutes), Front Desk $499 (650 minutes), Revenue $749 (1,000 minutes) and Multi-Location $649 per location (900 minutes). Every extra minute is $0.39. Front Desk and above include the Reactivation Engine. Annual billing saves 10%. English and Spanish are included on every plan, there is no contract, and the first 15 days are free (30 with a partner code from Dentlot or DentalLab).

Every plan includes an allowance of AI talk time, and there is one pool: inbound calls and outbound reactivation calls draw on the same allowance. A call is metered by its own duration when it ends, so a 2-minute confirmation costs two minutes and a 6-minute new-patient booking costs six. Ringing, hold music on your own system, and calls your team answers are not Dentovox minutes at all. Usage appears in the dashboard as calls end, and the moment you cross the included minutes you get an alert — the AI keeps answering, nothing is cut off mid-month.
This is arithmetic on the allowance, not a measured average of your practice. Divide the minutes by your own typical call length and you have the answer for you.
| Plan | Minutes | At 3 min/call | At 4 min/call | At 5 min/call |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Overflow | 400 | ~133 calls | 100 calls | 80 calls |
| Front Desk | 650 | ~216 calls | ~162 calls | 130 calls |
| Revenue | 1,000 | ~333 calls | 250 calls | 200 calls |
| Multi-Location | 900 per location | ~300 calls | 225 calls | 180 calls |
If you go over, every extra minute is $0.39 on every plan — the rate does not change by tier, so a busy month on Overflow is never punished with a higher per-minute price than Revenue pays. At $0.39, a hundred extra minutes is $39.
Overflow, $299. Your front desk handles the day well and what you lose is evenings, weekends, lunch and the second ringing line. The AI answers only when your team doesn't. Reactivation is not included at this tier.
Front Desk, $499. Every call answered, 24/7, and the first plan that includes the Reactivation Engine — outbound voice calls to a list of lapsed patients you upload, booked into the schedule on the call. This is the plan most single-location practices start on.
Revenue, $749. Everything in Front Desk with 1,000 minutes, for practices whose call volume is genuinely high, plus the recovered-revenue analytics. Be aware of what that reporting does today: the per-campaign funnel works, and the recovered-revenue figure is built but does not yet count reactivation bookings, because call outcomes are not yet linked back to campaigns. If that number is the reason you are considering this tier, take Front Desk and move up when it counts.
Multi-Location, $649 per location. For groups and DSOs: each location gets its own number and its own dashboard, with 900 minutes each.
Two honest comparisons. A traditional answering service bills by the minute or by the call and hands back a message — the work moves to your front desk instead of leaving it, and the bill rises with every busy month. A part-time front-desk hire costs several times these numbers once payroll taxes, benefits, training and cover for sick days are counted, and still goes home at five. Neither point needs inflating: work out your own numbers in the ROI calculator, and read AI receptionist vs answering service for the billing-model difference in detail.

Texting is built but not sending yet: US carriers require the sender to be registered — A2P 10DLC for local numbers, verification for toll-free — before a business can text patients, and texting switches on for every plan once that completes. To size a plan against your own call volume, use the ROI calculator; for how Dentovox compares with a per-minute answering service, see AI vs answering service; for which recovery workflows are live, see AI receptionist + patient recovery.
A minute is a minute the AI spends on a call. Inbound calls and outbound reactivation calls draw on the same monthly allowance, and your dashboard shows minutes used against that allowance as calls end. Partial minutes are only rounded up on the overage total at the end of the period, and you get an alert the moment you cross the included minutes — nothing stops answering.
Extra minutes are billed at $0.39 per minute on every plan. You get alerts as you approach the limit.
